Richard recorded released The Lakes of Pontchartrain in 1987, shortly after leaving New Orleans for the mountains of northwest Arkansas. This is a collection of traditional folk songs with vocals and acoustic instruments. This CD release was remastered from the original analog recordings.

  
 


The Lakes of Pontchartrain was originally recorded between 1985 and 1987, using a Teac 4-track reel-to-reel recorder. Although there were some limitations in the original recording as compared to current standards, the CD version has been digitally remastered.
